  • Initial margin requirement ranges from 1 to 1.5 times of that for COMEX gold futures contracts.
  • Minimum quantity per transaction is 5kg (approximately 160.74 ounces).
  • Most physical gold customers use the margin account to facilitate physical gold trading.
  • Brokerage services and e-platforms for trading gold futures at different exchanges such as COMEX, DGCX, SGX and TOCOM.

  Gold Certificates
  • Customers can open an account at any UOB branch in Singapore during banking hours.
  • Transactions can be done at branches, on UOB Personal Internet Banking and UOB Mobile.
  • Minimum quantity per transaction is 5 grams for gold or 10 ounces for silver.
  • Administrative fees are chargeable at 0.25% p.a for gold and 0.375% p.a. for silver.
  • Available to both local and foreign nationals.
  • Offered at UOB main branch in Singapore only.
  • Each certificate represents one to thirty 0.9999 fineness loco London good delivery brand gold kilobar.
  • The certificate can be redeemed for cash or gold kilobars.
  • It can be transferred by the certificate holder (corporate or individual) to another individual once.
  • Administrative fees are chargeable at SGD 72 per kilobar per year.
Physical Gold Bars and Coins   Other Bullion Business
  • Our most popular product is the Swiss 0.9999 gold kilobar (e.g. Argor Heraeus, UBS, Metalor and PAMP).
  • Other physical gold products include the Maple Leaf and Australian Kangaroo gold coin and PAMP bar. Sizes range from 1 gram to 100 grams.
  • Physical gold bars and coins are sold at UOB main branch in Singapore, but shipments to customer's destination can be arranged for quantities of 100 kilograms and above, with shipping costs to be borne by the customer.
